Hello Could you help me what number is used in the mosfet marked D1?🎉

Currently diagnosing my JL HD900/5 after I sank my truck in a huge mud bog... Sometimes it works, but most of the time it flashes red/green. Not UK based but appreciating the encouragement 🤘
Why is my clip light on and no sound it want go off
Its a audio pipe 1500.1
Would you buy one for everyday use??
I wouldn't buy one for any use
I probably wouldn’t buy one of these but at least someone out there is trying to upgrade the head unit. 95% of them suck when it comes to connecting speakers directly to the head unit.
Which DSP were you using in this video??
Hey, I've seen that your old Basso Profondo links are dead, but I found some of them on my old drive, maybe if you lost the files I can send you some ^^
Even if u dont have work to do please go live with us so we can get help
My problem is I have too much work lol, live streaming always makes things take four times as long so when I'm really crammed I don't stream that often
@@barevids i get yo point just miss the live stream
mate i still wonder of we're gonna see it or if you're gonna make it just cause of the results and honestly those drivers look like killers, but also that DCAAV concept is very interesting to me
Nah bro this was a lifetime ago
If I was going to do a similar project now it would just be passive radiators, way better
Thanks for showing how to set the bias pots. I have a pair of Rockford PR-2100 TYPE II that I bought back in the 80's, one worked and one was sold to me for parts. The only part that was missing was the turn-on transistor! So I had a collection of transistors and found one that made it work. I messed around with this amp and in doing so I "adjusted" one of the bias pots and not noticing any audible difference I turned it back to it's original position. After seen how critical this adjustment is I'm going to dig this amp out of my closet and put it on my scope (one identical to yours) and see just how far out of whack it is.. Thanks for the tip mate!
Maybe you can help me.I have an amplifier that while it was playing, the subwoofer wires sorted out, and from that time, the amplifier goes into prt&clip.what can I do? Thanks
I’m sure you get lots of questions from people but I’d appreciate any suggestions from you. I have an old Crate B10 xl simple solid state amp that I’ve been trying to get working again for a couple of years. There isn’t any repair places near me and I searched all over online with no luck finding any similar problems like mine. I was playing it and all of a sudden zero audio, not even a hum, the fuse wasn’t blown and it still powers on. I’ve confirmed that the speaker is still good, I can’t see any signs of something that got hot or shorted, the jack inputs are making contact and all of the wiring is good, none of the caps look bulged and it doesn’t even make a sound when I touch the aux jack. I’m suspecting it’s a component on the circuit board but I can’t see a visible problems, I’ve tried testing everything with the knowledge I have, it makes a small sound whenever I touch two of the pins on the output transistor/mosfet so It might be that but I’m not sure. It might even be one of the many diodes.
If you really want to get into this, you want to use your multimeter and check all of the auxiliary voltages around the board. Check there is rail voltage present in the large rail caps on the output board, check you have bipolar auxiliary supply for the op amps on the preamp board, etc. You might find that some are missing due to crack solder or failed components in the power supply board.
Thank you for replying so quickly! I appreciate your suggestions and I will try the best I can to test what you mentioned. A couple added details is that it’s one circuit board and I have re-soldered all points with no luck.
Also the only testing tool I have is a digital multimeter.
You are not lying every last mosfets from eBay Aliexpress and Amazon are counterfeit. Some do work but it's a big gamble.
Hey barevids, i know you make videos for people that understand these things about subwoofer and amplifiers, but can you make videos for people who want to start it for hobby, i'm very new to this and i don't understand anything, and it amazes me how smart you actually are of this stuff, but i want to start it as a hobby, and can you make seperate videos explaining and teaching on what should i start with and what to use to make my own subwoofer?

Do you take orders on repairs? I will buy a Cerwin Vega P1800SX subwoofer who works sometimes and sometimes it wont. I could send you the amplifier module to you.
Only for UK based clients
@@barevids Ah thats unfortunate. I live in Sweden. Mabey my friend in UK can bring the amp home and send it to you and bring it to me when he visits.
I bought this same one for repair. But I did a mistake. I did not see the board until it was to late. I think this amp has the same problem to go on fire in that same spot. But mine it is worst than this one on your video. The board suffered too much. I think I am not gonna be able to fix it. Even if it would be fix. I am afraid to use it. Cuz I have seen many on fire.
Yeah that's a write off unfortunately

I’ve subscribed and Jesus it’s nice to see someone who’s helpful I have few recap questions So I have little 5.25 vibe spare speaker which one do I need to wire up and when you check it I take it you turn the head unit up and then amp when you here then buz you knock it back down I have a 1500 rms amp
Yep! Connect the bipolar cap in series with your spare speaker. Keep your normal sub connected also
@@barevids thank you mate I’m ordering the bits now
@@barevids if you could mate post a little item number for the part needed as I’m struggling to find one off eBay plesss
Can i get the gcode to print this?
Can we send you amps to fix? My jl audio xd1000/1v2 quit on me. Power goes in but doesn’t go out.
That 2110 is a super popular chip. Seems like every motor controller has got one. Guess inverters too. It's like the 555 of power electronics

Friend of mine bought a smart8 after they switched to the new board, could only clamp 1600 watts out of it with 160 ah of yinlong and 350 amp alt charging at 15.7, we played with rca voltages, redid the po2er and grounds, checked ohm load (0.5) and finally maxxed the gain knob on the amplifier just to see what gives, we clamped 1693 watts and he returned it to Amazon.
Whats the specs of that bench power supply?
0-16v 0-40a CC
Great video like always keep up the good work Sam 👍🏽👍🏽 🙏🏽
LOL that explosion scared the shit out of me!
Could you slow it down a bit please? Thanks.
I found when I switched out my JBL 14001's for the Banda 7001's I had a lot of alt noise initially which I fixed by running a ground from head unit to Banda amps So I wonder if the JBL's and others like it simply have better filtering which makes them more forgiving, but in an environment where the whole system is setup correctly with little/no noise the difference is negated.
Cool test but kinda useless. Cleaner amp will clip later than sooner. True test would have been running them to clipping and measuring the output/sine waves. Just playing music below max won’t really show anything.
Tight sub
Where I could get the schematics to build an amp switch?
Could you send me a diagram of the amplifier switcher please
Is there a live tonight?
Watching this video again after who knows how many years.
One year buddy 😂
Feels like ages 😅
I'm getting a similar issue but I found the cause of it was a loose terminal block on the negative speaker side. Is there anyway to tighten that?
Resolder
Hey Sam so I connected the amp and everything played great for about 3 songs and now when the gain is all the way down I’m getting feedback through the subs and now it’s not playing i have 2 American bass godfather 15in do you think the mcu went bad on mine ?
Remove the RCA and see if you still get interference
Did that and still getting sound coming through the speaker

Old stream and youve probably already sorted a solution to the FET heat spreader application process. Pre heat several of them on an electric range surface. The single burner types meant for recreational vehicles/caravan.
Hold up! A board becomes conductive and it’s not under warranty? I don’t care how much damage, shyt materials in the board. Who makes it? Not my money, never.
That is exactly the feeling that I have with voltages above 60V. Great video!
I can appreciate what he is teaching but a lot of knowledge about the circuit needs to be known first. This guy has studied the schematic and I suppose block diagram to know how it works and where his voltage should come from. This is the most important part and detrimental to troubleshooting . I wished I knew half of what he has forgotten , it would take me a week to go through that much trouble shooting but I am envious of such wisdom. Great video
Thanks man! I didn't have any schematic for this amplifier though, I just looked at it and worked out how it works
I have a down4sound jp 43 not sure if your familiar with them Koren built amp I was running it at 1/2 ohm caps in the input side or power side I think that'd what it is replacing all comes on no protection but know sound on output
